Hello and thanks for your question! After any type of liposuction we recommend compression to help reduce swelling and promote faster healing. Most patients actually prefer wearing compression for comfort. I do not think that using boards or foam is necessary but I suggest speaking to your doctor for his/her opinion, as every surgeon has their own post op protocol. Best of luck and hope this helps!
Compression needs customization, you should speak to your physician about getting you a customized garment or waist trainer. If you are unhappy with your results please speak to your physician and ensure he was a full body VASER HD liposuction physciain wtih expensive experience in body shaping and not just traditional fat reduction. At this point you should be using compression, RF treatments like venus legacy / exilis ultra / inmode forma or contoura and lymphatic massage to get you through healing. We always add shock wave therapy such as cellutone, z wave, and eclipse evive to help prvent scar tissue formation and ensure an even and smooth result. It will take 6-12 months to see the final outcome. If you are unhappy you can get a revision procedure by an expert in VASER HD lipo. Best, Dr. Emer.
Compression is very important after liposuctions and i recommend it for 6 weeks to help smooth out lumps/bumps so there is less swelling and the skin reattachs faster and smoother. Mons pubis swells a lot and you really need as much compression as you can get in this area otherwise you won't see any difference for 3-4 months.
Mybblde19. Generally speaking, compression garments are usually helpful right after all forms of liposuction, including the areas that you describe. The garments assist in reducing swelling and allowing skin contracture to occur a bit faster. In my opinion, placement of boards in that area are not necessary. Discuss all aspects of recovery with a board-certified plastic surgeon in your region. Good luck.
My protocol for swelling is as follows:-First stage garment to be worn 24 hours per day for one week.-The first stage has clips.-Second stage garment to be worn for 3 months.-In rare circumstances we will use a small dose of a steroid and/or a water pill.-Foams are great too after lipo, and can help even out the skin.
Hi and welcome to our forum! We recommend compression garments to prevent bleeding and to control swelling. In our practice, we utilize a well fitted compression girdle with padding. No boards or plaster!Speak with your plastic surgeon as each has his / her protocol for postoperative care.Best wishes...

Thank you for asking about liposuction burns. The photo strongly suggests that these are skin burns from liposuction, probably laser lipo.No garment is likely to create these burns - Nor should they. A garment should always be safe and comfortable. Before you decide, make absolutely sure that t...
