Thank you for your question. The ideal liposuction candidate has localized fat deposits and quality overlying skin without significant excess skin or skin damage. Based on your photo you appear to be a good candidate for a Tummy tuck procedure. Tummy tuck, also know as abdominoplasty, is a procedure to remove excess skin and fat from the lower abdomen and to restore the weakened abdominal wall, giving a firmer and smoother appearance. We nearly always add liposuction to our tummy tucks to sculpt the body 360 degrees to achieve an ideal feminine figure. Tummy tuck is a very powerful technique in the right hands, and can have dramatic results if done correctly. You definitely have to choose your surgeon correctly and make sure that he/she has the training and experience to meet your goals with absolute safety. Don’t settle for less than a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with specialized expertise in this procedure.
Thank you for your question. After looking at your pictures I would recommend liposuction of the abdomen and flanks. When these to areas are done together they tend to contour the midsection very nicely. If it is coming down to a financial decision, I always tell my patients to start with the area that bothers them the most. I would recommend an in person consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to be evaluated and see what the recommendation is. Best of luck to you.
You should always get liposuction of the sides when doing the abdomen since it all blends together nicely and really makes the waistline look so much better.
Your photo shows a lot of stretchmarks around and below the belly button and a small hanging pouch of skin and fat. Although it does not look like you need lipo on the sides I don't believe liposuction alone will result in shrinking of the skin below the level of the belly button. When the skin has this many stretchmarks it has lost its elasticity. Liposuction alone would empty the pouch but it would still be there. For an optimal result you will need liposuction + removal of the excess skin.I hope you realize that this format of posting questions and receiving answers lacks the face to face direct communication required for you to make an informed decision regarding your surgery. My response to your question/post does not represent formal medical advice or constitute a doctor patient relationship. You need to consult with i.e. personally see a board certified plastic surgeon in order to receive a formal evaluation and develop a doctor patient relationship in order to know if this assessment is valid.
Dear Marlynn26,based on your photo, it looks like you have some loose skin so you might be a candidate for a tummy tuck and liposuction. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Thank you for your question and based on your picture you seem to be a good candidate for liposuction of your abdomen, sides, and lower back for a nice hour glass shape.Always see a board certified PS.
Hello dear! Thanks for the pictures and provided information as well.Based on your photos, you are a great candidate for waist, flanks and back liposuction and a tummy tuck to give you a nice tight tummy, and I think you'll get very good results. In general, you need to be physically healthy and at a stable weight, have realistic expectations, be a non-smoker and your BMI needs to be 30 or less.l recommend you to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to talk about your goals and anything you need to know.Good luck :)
HelloI recommend a full tummy tuck combined with a full body contouring. I would suggest liposuction on your back and flanks as well if you want. If you only do lipo, you will be left with loose skin. You have choices, but definitely you must be evaluated first to accomplish what you wished. Consult with a certified plastic surgeon.RegardsDr. Israel MañonCertified Plastic Surgeon
Hello,Thank you for your question and picture! Based on your picture it looks like your abdomen has loose skin. If you want a flat tummy a tummy tuck and Liposuction of the waist and full back would be recommended. Liposuction of the abdomen or a tummy tuck will not make your waist smaller. Lipo of the waist and full back will enhance your curves and will give you a small waistline. It's best you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to go over your options. Best of luck!
Liposuction of your tummy will improve your waist somewhat but not completely. A good proportion of a patients waist is located on their back side. This area typically can not be accessed from an abdominal incision. I’m excited about a new high tech liposuction device called the Vibrastat (pleases see the video on our page). I feel this gives a superior result to traditional techniques. After looking at your photo, it appears that you have loose skin in addition to excess fat. I feel that liposuction of your tummy alone, would put you at increase risk for developing wrinkles on your tummy. In my opinion you would be a candidate for a tummy-tuck. This is a procedure that not only removes excess fat but also tightens skin and muscle. I invented a tummy tuck where recovery is not only quicker then your traditional liposuction but patients typically wake up in no pain (please see the video on our page). Patients tend to enjoy showing off their new belly button and tummy even into their late seventies in a bikini! I hope you find this information useful. Please watch the enclosed video.
