I developed really bad allergies. I’m also still growing. But blowing my nose is inevitable & I’m really worried blowing my nose is what has made it ugly. It’s also a bit shifted to the right.

Answer: Nose blowing and nasal shape No, blowing your nose won't make it bigger or ugly. At most, some patients with allergies can develop a so-called "allergic crease" or "nasal crease" which is simply a horizontal wrinkle just above the nasal tip due to the patient chronically rubbing upward on the nose to wipe it. But since you're still growing, it's more likely that any shape changes you're seeing are simply natural genetic changes as you grow into your adult face. If you're that concerned, consider making an appointment with an allergist or an otolaryngologist (ear, nose, and throat surgeon) to make sure nothing else is occurring such as nasal polyps, etc.All the best,--DCPPearson Facial Plastic Surgery®

Answer: Can blowing the nose make it bigger? Allergies can make your nasal mucosa swell and potentially even the outside of your nose to swell. The swelling should only affect the soft tissue and as the allergies become controlled the soft tissue swelling should resolve. Constant nose blowing can further irritate the skin, but should not can any changes to the bone or cartilage of the nose. Fall can be a bad season for weeds. I would recommend a consult with an allergy specialist. Good luck!
