Hi. I need a few other opinions regarding a rhinoplasty I had done 3 weeks ago. There is a bump that is appearing and it makes the profile look unattractive. I didn't see this bump when the cast was removed but I saw it the next day. I know it takes a while till the nose actually forms its shape but is this common? It doesn't seem possible to me how A solid bone-like bump can just magically smooth out. Any thoughts? I am seeing my doctor next week but need some opinions in the meantime. thanks!!

Hello
For now it is too soon to see how your final result will look like. You are still in the healing process, so I recommend to be patient and follow all instructions given by your surgeon. If you're still worried don't hesitate to consult your doctor and let him/her knows that...
Hi there, I think you might be looking at a splint inside the nose, but it is hard to tell from the photo. My recommendation is that you call your doctor's office for guidance. Be careful when you clean the nose as it is still very early in the healing process. Good luck
It can take a year for nasal tip swelling to resolve after rhinoplasty especially in a patient with thicker skin. Although it is difficult, I suggest you be patient at this time.
