After 2 weeks post fue Ht my hair in the donor zone started to fall out. Just around my ear as you can see on the picture. After reading some blog post i think this is an example of chock loss (in the donor area). Is this chock loss as my spot is really bald and not only thinner hair? Why do some people (I read less than 5%) experience chock loss? Can I do something about it and will the be permanent or just temp? If temp when should I see a change? anyone wih the same experience or advise?
Answer: Shock loss after FUE It is not uncommon to have some hair loss(effluvium) in the donor zone after harvesting for FUE,however it is usually more diffuse. This may be secondary to overharvesting but hopefully the hair will grow back.It will take 3-6 months to see if growth resumes.

Answer: Donor area shockloss after FUE hair transplant Yes, it is shock loss. It happens occasionally even in well executed FUE as a result of the unavoidable trauma from the extraction wounding process, inflammatory factors and cytokines are released which can cause shock loss. This can be minimized by using smaller punches as well as by spacing out extraction points more widely. The good news, is that this phenomenon is typically temporary and should resolve within 3- 6 months. Using minoxidil topically in the area may hasten the recovery of hair

Answer: Shock Loss Without a proper examination it's impossible to say over the internet, but it probably is shock loss. This means it's temporary, and those hairs should regrow back over the next few months. It's just a matter of waiting for the hair to regrow. Shock loss generally happens because the scalp is put under a lot of stress in a hair transplant, causing it to drop the hair.

Answer: Shock loss in donor zone 2 weeks post FUE hair transplant There may be sometimes such a early phase alopecia, bald spots in donor areas after FUE surgery, but fortunatelly most are transient. İt may happen because of over harvesting or transient post traumatic shedding /shock loss. Any way it heals and hair regrow in 4-5 months of hair restoration surgery .
