I am a bit worried because I get my teeth cleaned twice a year and a pap once a year, so it seems like a lot of time to be on antibiotics and I've heard they aren't the best for your body. I also don't necessarily like taking more medication than I need to and wasn't told this was necessary prior to surgery.

Since the pain is new it is best have the breasts assessed by your surgeon. It may disappear on its own with time, but your surgeon will be better to advise if there is any cause for concern after an evaluation.
