Thank you for your question. It all depends on a few factors like, how big is the burn, how severe is it, have you done any treatments to help with it? It's difficult to tell without a photo. Everybody heals different so an exact estimate can't be given. I would have it looked at by your plastic surgeon. Best of luck!Dhaval M. This is tough to answer without pictures and requires an in-person evaluation. For these types of burns, I recommend silicone gel with growth factors and hyperbaric oxygen. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Any subsequent scarring can be improved with lasers and microneedling/prp. Best, Dr. Emer
It's hard to say without a photo. Smaller and more minor burns will heal quickly, under a week. Bigger ones can take 3 weeks or longer. The length of time to heal is an important factor in your ultimate scarring. If it heals in under a week, a poor scar or keloid scar is low. Once a burn takes longer than 3 weeks to heal, your chance of a bad scar significantly increases.Get started on treatment early. This means good early burn care. Then steroids and/or laser treatments. Pressure garments are also important for the lipo and the scar. Consider Epiderm as well. This scar product can be ordered at biodermis.com (a great product)Best wishes!Dr Chris Saunders
It's not really possible to say. It depends on the size of the burn, the severity, what you are doing to treat it, and how well you heal overall. I recommend following closely with your doctor and following their recommendations.Best,Dr. Dan KrochmalMAE Plastic SurgeryNorthbrook, IL
