At five weeks your results are fairly close to your final results. You may see you minor changes over the next several months.Skin laxity after liposuction varies greatly from individual to individual.Typically patience with tight skin before the procedure do not see significant changes in skin laxity.Patients with significant skin laxity usually see worsening of their skin laxity but usually are not concerned because their skin was not great to start with.Patient with mild skin laxity before liposuction especially when large volumes of fat are removed can see the biggest change leading to some disappointment. This is fairly predictable by experienced surgeons to perform a lot of liposuction and should be ideally discussed before the procedure. In my experience patients usually have high satisfaction if there contour has improved significantly even with changes in skin laxity as long as it was described and explained before the procedure.Talk to your doctor about your concerns.Best,Mats Hagstrom M.D.
