Numbness 9 months after neck lift, can nerves be repaired if it persist beyond 1 year?

I read somewhere that 12-18 months after nerve damage the nerves loses it's ability to function again. Can nerves be repared with surgery if the numbness persists after the one year mark?

It is normal to have numbness of the neck after an extensive neck lift. Usually most of sensation recovers within 6 months after surgery but spotted areas of numbness may be observed for a longer period of time. It is practically impossible to pin point nerve injury  in neck lift since innervation of neck comes from multiple small branches. You can be assured that your co diction will continue to improve.
