Dissolve lip fillers before lip lift? I've have fillers for 2 years (4.5 ml over that period). (Photos)

First of all, thank you for your pictures.  You are correct in assessing that you should dissolve the fillers prior to your lip lift, and I'm sure your doc will be able to tell you when to start that process for maximum benefit.  I find that the longer filler has been in an area, the less predictable dissolving becomes as the HA particles become intrinsically involved with the surrounding tissue.  It also depends on what kind of product you had placed - a mixed chain HA will be much harder to dissolve than a single chain HA (vollure vs. belotero, for example).  As far as "reversing damage" - thats hard to say.  Inappropriately placed filler can change the anatomy, and reversing it can help.  But some of the changes you are describing I'm not sure without further information/exam.  However if you do not like the changes that you are seeing from filler and are thinking about dissolving it anyway, I'm not sure I see a point in keeping the filler.  But thats just me.  Hope some of this helps! Best of luck.
