Had Abdominoplasty plus lipo 3 months ago. Results not impressive, stomach round, not flat. When I eat it swells. Dr says to give it time. Is it normal? Am unhappy.
Answer: 3 Months Post Tummy tuck You are early in your recovery. Even if you don't feel swelling, you will have swelling for at least another 3 months or more. Try to be patient. Discuss your concerns with your surgeon. Follow all post operative instructions. Good luck.

Answer: Tummy tuck While you are not yet seeing your final results, the majority of the swelling should have resolved by three months post op. An evaluation and pre op photos would be helpful in giving more specific information. A round abdomen could be from visceral fat, ineffective or failed muscle repair, or perhaps muscle repair was not completed. It could also be GI related.

Answer: Recovery after tummy tuck Without pre & post photos, it is difficult to comment. Procedures involving liposuction definitely take longer (can be up to 12 months) to get the final result. If your surgeon has done the best possible procedure, then sometimes it is your posture & stomach muscle control that may be contributing to the problem. Have you done any pilates or core muscle work?? This could help. Continue to see your surgeon for further follow up too. All the best Kim
