First, I would agree that your bb does not look infected. But it should be packed (as mentioned) to help maintain the shape and the size of the opening. Also, DO NOT use hydrogen peroxide. This kills actively growing cells and will simply irritate the area. Finally, you should have your Plastic Surgeon following this. I encourage you to follow his/her direction and let go from there. I hope that helps and wish you the best!-Gregory A Buford MD FACSBoard Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author
Dear Pantoja2017,based on your photos, your belly button doesn't look infected. However, to b sure I would suggest you to consult your plastic surgeon.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery
I does not look infected. You should really go back to your Plastic Surgeon if you are concerned. I don't see any redness or swelling. I do see some normal crusting that happens after incisions are closed.
I recommend you have your stitches removed. They have been in long enough and now may cause more harm with "railroad track" scarring. Stop using hydrogen peroxide too. See your surgeon. Best wishes.
First of all, your navel needs to be packed to help your belly button keep a good round shape. It doesn't look as though you have any packing it in. You do not look infected. The skin around your sutures is just pink. This will get better when your sutures are removed. I would call and ask your surgeon about packing your belly button. Good luck!
Your navel (belly button) does not appear to be infected, but your plastic surgeon can best check things out when you visit with them in person. It looks like you will need your sutures out soon. As healing progresses, the shape and definition of the navel improves, particularly as the surrounding tissue swelling goes away.
Hello,I appreciate your concern for infection. A face to face physical exam by an experienced plastic surgeon provides the best opportunity to diagnose an infected belly button. There does not appear to be sign of infection in the photo you posted. It's not unusual for patients to develop some redness around stitches placed in the skin but that does not represent infection per se. If you are truly concerned, make a visit to your plastic surgeon.
Thanks for your question. History of standard tummy-tuck is not a contraindication for CT scanning of the abdomen and pelvis. Best of luck!
Hello dear!!Thanks for the question and provided information as well.Having a blood type RH negative it's not a contraindication to have surgery. A lot of patients are RH negative and don't has anything to do with the surgery.I recommend you to look for a board certified plastic surgeon to talk...
Appears as very acceptable early result. Maybe the expected wish results are unrealistic? Best to allow 6 months healing before thinking something is wrong.
