Both medications should be fine but it is important that you let your surgeon know. He or she will also give you a list of medications on what to avoid to minimize complications such as bleeding. Good luck.
Congratulations for being so conscientious about your medications prior to surgery. It is important to understand that medications taken before and after surgery may have a significant effect on the operation. In your case, the use of Midol and melatonin should be fine. Midol has acetaminophen or Tylenol in it which does not significantly affect bleeding, etc. Melatonin has no real perioperative complications of note. Of course, I strongly suggest you talk to your surgeon about this and let them know.It is imperative that you seek the advice of a plasticsurgeon who is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and hasextensive experience in buttock augmentation. I wish you the best. Dr. Gabbay.
Thank you for the question. Melatonin should not impact on your ability to undergo surgery. Midol however is Acetaminophen and will not inhibit blood clotting. Having said that, each surgeon has their own style in the management of the patient. I would therefore recommend you discuss this matter with your chosen surgeon. I hope this helps. Best of luck.
