When I look in the mirror, I just see a face that looks dragged down. I feel I look much older than 30. Would I qualify for a facelift? Or what other procedures would help? I have deep nasolabial folds that I've had most of my life, a double chin that doesn't go away even when I'm 90 lbs, my lips are downturned, and I almost look as if I'm developing jowls. It's very depressing. Thank you.
Answer: Mid face lift I do think that mid face lift or lifting the mid face ( the areas under the eyes and the cheeks ) is a the best treatment for younger patients (30s) who are not happy with the mid face droop. The great thing about the procedure it can be done without any visible scars. I use the trans conjunctival (or incision from the inside of the lower eyelid to access the mid face and lift it vertically . This is a powerful technique that corrects the saggy cheeks and enhance the area under the eyes . As I said because the incision is inside the eyelid it heals with no visible scarring .

Answer: Consider your options for rejuvenating your appearance Thank you for your question and photos. While you don’t appear to be a candidate for a facelift, there are various treatments that can make the aesthetic changes you’re looking for. Restoring volume with hyaluronic acid dermal fillers or a facial fat transfer can reduce nasolabial folds and jowl formation, while the submental fat that causes a double chin can be removed with liposuction or Kybella injections. The corners of your mouth can also be elevated with dermal fillers or a lip lift to diminish the downturned appearance. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon. They will be able to discuss your concerns with you and determine the best treatment options.

Answer: Non-Surgical Face Lift / Skin Resurfacing with Renuvion/J-Plasma -- add Lasers, Microneedling/PRP, Ultherapy, FaceTite In our practice, we perform a non-surgical face lift / skin resurfacing treatment using Renuvion Helium Plasma Radiofrequency. To get the most improvement with skin tightening, we combine Renuvion (formerly J-Plasma) with lasers (Fraxel, Clear + Brilliant, CO2), microneedling/PRP, Ultherapy and InMode FaceTite. I suggest getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: An option but there are better choices There are ways to get you a tighter looking face other than a facelift. You'd be a good candidate for certain types of implants and volume enhancements, as well as skin tightening and possibly buccal fat removal. Together you can with much less surgery than a facelift get towards your goals.

Answer: Nonsurgical Filler Facelifts Can Contour & Rejuvenate The Face Think simple first before jumping very prematurely into expensive, aggressive, invasive facelift surgery that engenders signficant post-surgical downtime and risks. You need only look over some of the other questions on today's list alone to see potential complications. One questioner wants to know what can be done to treat the white line surgical scars around her hairline and ears following facelift surgery. Another questioner wants to know what can be done for the hypertrophic scars following blepharoplasty. By contrast, simple and nonsurgical approaches to your problems would be the expert use of appropriately robust HA fillers to accomplish the goals you desire. At least from the photos provided, a bolus of a robust HA lifting filler for each of the upper outer cheeks would help to achieve a more ideal, heart-shaped oval contour to the face. The use of an appropriate HA volumizing filler in the region of the posterior angle of the jaw and along the jawline would address the volume deficit in the lower third of the face and define and straighten the jawline (secondarily improving the double chin), and a bolus of lifting filler placed at the angles of the mouth would straighten the incipient marionette lines. In experienced hands, all of the foregoing can be performed with about thirty minutes with immediate results that typically elicit a "Wow!" reaction and all without a scalpel, cutting and stitches and potential post-surgical complications. So, you would be wise not to be hasty, especially at your young age, to jump into surgery, and you would be wise to consult an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist. So, no need to be depressed, and best of luck.
