Three years ago I had a lower face lift, including l neck lift, lipo on jawline and fat grafting in cheeks. Months later I developed lumps in my lower cheeks. My surgeon said it was buccal fat. I have since talked with two top surgeons and they said it was not buccal fat and possibly fibrosis where the lumps remain. One suggested Thermage and one suggested to use filler around it. I have since moved to AZ and want to see what can be done to fix it. The appearance has not changed in the 3 years.
I am a 55 y/o woman and had a limited incision lower facelift with lipo 6 months ago. I have a small lump that is sensitive to the touch on my cheek. It almost has a bluish appearance. Could this be a fat necrosis? Is there anything that can be done or do I give it more time? Any advice/thoughts are greatly appreciated!
I had a lower facelift and platysmaplasy 9 weeks ago and still have swelling,numbness and lumps. Can I use ice and heat alternately? Can is use Bromelain and Arnica again to help? Is there something else I can do or take? Thank you for any advice that will help.
I'm 13 weeks post lower facelift surgery and although it has gone down I'm still left with a pea sized lump on my cheek. I've been massaging it as advised by my PS but it's not going down. Should I ring him or will it go away in time? Thank you
Is this normal or do I need liposuction? Prior to surgery my PS didn't think it was necessary and I didn't either(I am slender w/ good skin elasticity). When I saw him last we discussed the neck bands still present and the lump. He said that he should have done liposuction. I am not so sure although the neck bands are still there. I just think this may be a seperate issue and I don't want to have any extra unnecessary surgery. I am reading that these lumps are not so uncommon. Thank you
Hi ive just had lower face lift surgery 3 days ago and one side has swollen more than the other by quite a bit. I have hard lumps under both ears kind of in my neck but the left is bigger, why would one side swell more than the other, and how long will this swelling and hardness last ? I have no bruising at all. Also when can I chew - ive lost 4lbs in 3 days I am eating but only little things as its sore.
Use head wrap most of the time and have been sleeping in a recliner all this time. Only med is Aleve, no bending or exercise, watch my diet. But I look worse NOW than I did a few weeks ago. PS checked for fluid with needle, negative, and said to be patient, don't use the head wrap anymore and get on with a normal life.. ? 1. Is it normal for the swelling and hardness to increase with time? 2. What is the best way to deal with the hard lumps.. hot or cold compresses with gentle massage?
