During my primary rhinoplasty (open approach), my surgeon, according to my operative report, had "proceeded to also elevate the (nose) tip to to bring splayed lower lateral cartilages into a more central position". Why would this have been done on a non cleft nose, and how would this affect the nose tip position in relation to the overall nose on a crooked nose?
