Can my natural nose be recreated, especially the base view? (Photo)

Question

My original nose is the one on the left and my ugly current nose is the right. My current nose has a shield graft I never asked for and for some dumb reason the doctor pinned my original nose cartilages all the way back. Will removing the shield graft and unsuturing and releasing my domes to a more cephalic natural position help to recreate the original.I DO NOT WANT RIB OR EAR CARTILAGE IN MY TIP! I really rather not have any cartilage added, but is it necessary? I did have septoplasty

Hi Paige! Sorry that you're experiencing trouble with your rhinoplasty result. The shield graft can be removed if you find it unsightly and something that's drastically changed your tip. Removing the dome sutures if placed could help to return the nose to its prior position. But, there could be scarring in place and memory of the cartilage that would require restructuring. Septum is the primary source we prefer to use, then cartilage from the ear or rib depending on the amount and type needed. Seek consultation with a facial plastic surgeon to see what improvements can be made naturally. Hope that helps!
