If I get cool sculpting now in my mid 30s (on my abdomen and inner thighs) will fat distribution change if/when I gain fat down the road? I'm wondering if the fat will simply be displaced in more awkward places on my body instead of evenly. Please let m know. Thanks!
Answer: CoolSculpting and Fat Distribution Think of it this way- the areas we treat with CoolSculpting are the areas patients consider to be their "problem areas." Meaning these are the areas where fat collects and protrudes disproportionately more compared to other areas of the body. By permanently eliminating the bulges in these localized areas, it makes the fat distribution of the entire body more even and aesthetically pleasing. So, even if you were to gain weight, you would gain weight evenly throughout the body instead of it going straight to those problem areas. I hope this helps!

Answer: Coolsculpting and fat distribution Coolsculpting is a way to target fat pockets in various areas including the abdomen, flanks, bra, arms, and thighs. Because it removes a small amount of fat gradually at time, it will not affect the future fat distribution. In other words, if you were to gain 20 lbs the normal pattern of fat accumulation will remain the same which is different than traditional liposuction.

Answer: Fat Distribution after CoolSculpting Treatment. This is an excellent question! CoolSculpting eliminates unwanted fat and tightens skin only in the areas in which the applicators are applied to the body. It is recommended to continue with a healthy diet and exercise after your CoolSculpting treatment, as the procedure does not prevent future fat from forming in the treatment areas nor does it affect the distribution of future body fat that is acquired . If you have any future questions regarding your CoolSculpting procedure, I suggest reaching out to your CoolSculpting specialist! Best of luck!

Answer: #coolsculpting does not impact future fat distribution Hi. Coolsculpting will remove focal fat that is drawn into the applicator at the time of treatment. It does not impact future fat distribution. Existing fat cells enlarge or shrink with weight gain or loss respectively for the first 30 lbs or so, more than 30 lbs and new fat cells are generated. Where your body deposits fat is not predictable or controllable, whether the removal technique is via Coolsculpting, Kybella injections, or liposuction. Be sure to see a Coolsculpting University certified provider who has advanced training for more information. Good luck!

Answer: Coolsculpting and future weight gain Thank you for your question. No, Coolsculpting will not change fat distribution if you gain weight in the future. CoolSculpting is a great alternative to undergoing an invasive procedure, such as liposuction. There is no down time, no risk of infection and you can achieve up to a 40% reduction with a retreatment of the same area. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a Coolsculpting-certified practitioner. All the best, Dr. Dr. Aggarwal
