Can CoolSculpting be used to treat the male pubic fat pad? (Photo)

Question

I’ve lost 85 lbs and kept it off, but can’t get rid of fat pad that encircles the penis. While liposuction is an option, I thought the cryolipolosis might be better in terms of shrinking the excess skin left after fat removal.

CoolSculpting could be used to treat the suprapubic fat in a man.  The main issue would be to make sure to use an applicator that would fit the area best.  I have also used SculpSure to treat this area in men.

Losing so much weight is quite an accomplishment! Congratulations. Yes, it may be possible to use CoolSculpting to remove a fat pad in the pubic area. This would be a delicate area, needless to say, and it would be best to do this in stages with the CoolSculpt Mini. When treating a circumferential area of fat, it is best to treat part of the problem in one session and the rest in another to avoid excess swelling. An in-person consultation is needed, however; to determine if this is a viable option. Please find a board-certified dermatologist who’s been certified as a CoolSculpting expert by Zeltiq and has experience treating pubic fat.

Coolsculpting is good for removing stubborn areas of fat, but lacks skin tightening and body shaping. For best results, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction, which can be performed at the same time as a tummy tuck, depending on skin laxity. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermiRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will give you the most toned result. Yes, you can have Coolsculpting to this area, if you're a candidate. Most patients opt to get re-treatments in the same area for maximum results of up to 40-50% fat cell reduction. Cool sculpting can be used to treat this area l, just be sure to find someone experienced in cool sculpting so they do it well. Lipo would be a more customizable way as there is more control over what fat is targeted and can tighten skin better

Coolsculpting is an option but I would  recommend liposuction with Bodytite to help shrink the skin. We can tailor the area better with a small liposuction cannula then the bulk removal from coolsculpting
