Thank you for your question. I do not recommend placing garlic or onions on your skin. It will likely irritate your skin and causing a burning sensation. I recommend to gently wash off the garlic and onion with water. If you use soap only use gentle unscented soaps like dove unscented or cetaphil soap. Plain goopy vasaline or aquaphor can be placed on the wound twice daily as needed. If your wound is not healing I recommend for you to see your doctor. I wish you the best.
I would suggest you don't use either garlic or onions on your skin as they have oils that can be irritating.Why not give Mother Nature a chance to heal the wound before you do anything. Your body has an innate wisdom about how best to heal without salad fixings.
