Please help. Depressed. Horrible crater after mole removal 12 days ago. I did everything correctly. Kept it moist and covered out of the sun. How soon can I look into correcting this? On the front of my face .

Mole removal begins with a comprehensive examination and consultation to determine the likelihood of a mole being worrisome. Excisional and incisional biopsies are reserved for suspicious moles. But it’s good news that most moles are not problematic and are only cosmetic, thus leading to the option of scarless or non-surgical mole removal with lasers and RF and plasma. Our office specializes in non-surgical mole removal.

Hi,12 days is a little soon to judge the area but it does appear that you will have a depression there to some extent.  I would begin massaging the area gently in small circles for the next few months and see what you are left with.  If I had to guess, using a filler might be the easier way to correct the area. Fractional resurfacing with a laser could also help although it frequently requires several treatments.  There is a procedure called subscision that might be able to help but I would still wait a few months before making a decision.
