What is the appropriate temperature for the procedure to be successful? My sister said she was at 43 degree is that sufficient, her nurse said she tolerated 46? I had lipo 5 years ago, gained 7 pounds would like to zap my upper stomach (below breasts), pouchy tummy & saddlebags. The hotter the better? I don't want to this investment not be successful. Any particular kind of massage?

Answer: Yes While benefits can be found in lower settings, the goal of therapy is to get up to 43-44.5 degrees C for at least 5 minutes. Patients could see the benefit at lower settings but studies used primary endpoints of 43 to 44.5 degrees Celsius for at least 5 minutes. If someone is very anxious or known low pain threshold, then topical anesthetics or benzodiazepines can be used. Need to know in advance.
