Rhinoplasty cartilage graft feels pointy in nasal tip. What would a revision look like? (Photo)

I just had a rhinoplasty 10 days ago. The day I got home I noticed a pointy bump on my nostril. It's red and hurt and had a little scab on it. When I got my cast off on day 7 my surgeon said it's the cartilage graft and gave me antibiotic and it hurts less bad and a little less red but it's still there and pointy. Will this go away on its own? What would a revision look like? My surgeon didn't really want to talk about it.

It is so early after your procedure that it's impossible to make predictions on outcomes.  This question can only be answered by the Surgeon who operated on you.  Many of the initial concerns are related to swelling and do not represent your eventual outcome.

Too soon to worry about this. That spot may settle down and go away. If it doesn't a few months from now we could make a small incision inside the nose and remove the offending cartilage or part of the cartilage. But again, may very well just relax away.
