Thank you for your question. My advice is to communication all medications that you are taking prior to your procedure. That being said, I ask that my patients avoid asprin and ibuprophen products and that over the counter benadryl is an acceptable medication prior to surgery. Best of luck.
Hello, generally Benadryl won't affect surgery but it's wise to discuss all medications with you surgeon preoperatively. Also if you are taking Benadryl due to an allergic reaction or other health problem it is best to advise your surgeon.
I would permit my patients to take Benadryl before cosmetic breast surgery, if desired. It's always a good idea though to keep your surgeon in the loop with your medications prior to surgery. Hope this information is helpful. Dr. Ted EisenbergBoard-Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author
Dear vickiegibson078, Always discuss medication questions with your surgeon before surgery. That being said, Benadryl should not pose a problem with your upcoming surgery. Good luck. Dr. Gervais.
Benadryl should not pose a problem with your surgery. It is always a good idea to let your surgeon know what medications you are taking and avoid the ones they don't want you to take--ie, ones that thin the blood and allow for more bruising.
Thanks for your inquiry, if you were my patient I would not have a problem, but you should check with your own surgeon, good luck.
Thank you for your question. You want to avoid medication that thin your blood prior to surgery. Benadryl is fine to take prior to surgery.
Thank you for sharing your question. There should not be any issue with you taking Benadryl 11 days prior to your procedure. Depending on what you are treating it may be best to alert your surgeon. Best wishes.
Benadryl taken days before your breast augmentation with mastopexy surgery will have no effect. Good luck!
Benadryl has no impact on surgery 11 days ahead of time or the night before surgery for that matter. Good luck with your surgery!!
It is too early to conclude your results. Your body is still in the recovery phase and you may still be experiencing swelling at this time. Asymmetry is not uncommon to post op. It usually takes 6 months or more to see your final results and by then you could decide if you want a revision...
This is a frequent question and the answer is absolutely NO. Seat belts will not cause an implant rupture. I actually had a patient involved in a serious accident. She was wearing her seat belt and the airbags went off. Fortunately she was fine and so were her implants.
Whats the best route to go for achieving natural full breasts? That depends if the needs a breast lift or not and on the size of implant they want. The bigger the implant the less natural it's going to look. Now we also have the silicone that are anatomically shaped and that can give a mo...
