I am looking for information about liposuction. My BMI is 22 but I have areas that I want contoured that exercise and dieting are not fixing! Is there a certain weight you have to be for liposuction? Also, what price range am I looking at since I do not have alot of body fat in general. I want upper/lower abdoman, flanks, and lower back done.
Answer: Ideal Liposuction Candidate Christine. The best candidates for liposuction are people similar to you. It works well removing unwanted fat from areas of the body resistant to diet and exercise. In someone like yourself, body contouring can best be achieved with micro liposuction technique, utilizing smaller cannulas because you only have modest amounts of fat. Be certain to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon. Best of luck

Answer: Liposuction for skinny people Lipo is not a procedure for weight loss or for overweight patients. It's a contouring procedure that is possible for any patient that has an area of fat under the skin and would like to reduce it. The results, will depend on the overall shape of the body, and the quality of the skin. Be sure to discuss your goals and concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon and consider the pros and the cons. Be certain your surgeon is properly certified. I've attached a link where you can start your search. Without an exam, it will not be possible to fully evaluate you and give you recommendations.

Answer: Finally...the best candidate for liposuction Dear gchristine,Every plastic surgeon reading your question is salivating at the opportunity to provide your liposuction. You are the ideal candidate and the type of patient that liposuction was designed for. Unfortunately, the procedure has been taken to the limit and, more often than not, is now perceived as a almost a weight loss option by patients. It is actually a contouring procedure designed for exactly the problem areas that you describe. You will have a great result. Prices can vary widely between geographic areas, surgeon experience, and type of liposuction. A general range of pricing in your area can be found on the realself website. Good luck!
