Liposuction on a "skinny" person

Question

I am looking for information about liposuction. My BMI is 22 but I have areas that I want contoured that exercise and dieting are not fixing! Is there a certain weight you have to be for liposuction? Also, what price range am I looking at since I do not have alot of body fat in general. I want upper/lower abdoman, flanks, and lower back done.

Christine.   The best candidates for liposuction are people similar to you. It works well removing unwanted fat from areas of the body resistant to diet and exercise. In someone like yourself, body contouring can best be achieved with micro liposuction technique, utilizing smaller cannulas because you only have modest amounts of fat. Lipo is not a procedure for weight loss or for overweight patients.  It's a contouring procedure that is possible for any patient that has an area of fat under the skin and would like to reduce it.  The results, will depend on the overall shape of the body, and the quality of the skin.  Be sure to discuss your goals and concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon and consider the pros and the cons.
