I don't like the width of my nose when I smile, and the bulbous tip frontal projection. What are my options, I would prefer not to have my nose broken. I also have thick skin, I do like the side profile of my nose. The last picture is a digital frontal of my ideal nose.

The structure between your nostrils, the columella cannot hold the tip of your nose up because of weak cartilage. The tip, which is shaped like an arch gets pulled closer to the face and falls some. This is called tip ptosis and causes the tip to round out. Until your tip is supported with a columella strut, surgically the nasal tip will fall. This only gets worse with age.

Answer: Rhinoplasty Hi @mhchris20! Thank you for sending you photos--you would be a great candidate for a rhinoplasty. You can narrow the bridge and refine the tip. A rhinoplasty in my opinion is one of the most difficult procedures to perform. The skill, artistry, and technique of the surgeon will determine the outcome. In my practice, I utilize piezosurgery. Piezosurgery is a more gentle technique that allows for greater precision. Less bruising and swelling is common with Piezosurgery. In a typical rhinoplasty, a hammer and chisel technique is performed leading to more inadvertent fractures. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!

Answer: Rhinoplasty You are a good candidate for rhinoplasty. You have a small bumpOn the bridge which can be removed. The entire nose can be made narrower on the tip and bridge. Your nostrils can be reduced with a procedure called alar wedge excisions.
