Is it possible to affect the sinus cavity when doing a lower bleph with fat repositioning on the lower eye lids?

It is important to have an ultrasound scan of the sinuses and the entire upper area to determine what you have, whether it is infection, inflammation or how the affected area is, in order to be able to solve it. Lower, transconjunctival blepharoplasty is done on top of the bone and there is no interference with sinus cavity in that process. Different sensations which patient may experience after temporary loss or decreased sensation in the site of surgery, may create feeling of fulness like you describe. Sinus infection may have happened for other reason than surgery, as well. If it persists, consult both your plastic surgeon and ENT. Good luck.

Your Sinuses are not affected when performing a lower blepharoplasty. In our practice we do not perform repositioning, simple removal of the herniated fat.
