Sore upper breast near cleavage and sore breast bone at top centre of breast. Is this normal?

I am 4 months post op after cc aurgiry on right breast with new implant put in. I have been getting really sore at top of breast and the bone feels like it's bruised at top of breast near cleavage area. Is this normal. I was told that the corrective surgery was very invasive but ant see same doctor as I have moved.

Thank you for your question regarding pain following capsular contracture surgery. Having a total capsulectomy often creates inflammation and soreness which can last several months following the procedure. It is best to have an in-person examination with a board certified plastic surgeon for evaluation of your symptoms.

Hi - it is not uncommon to have painful spots they may last for many months after surgery.  In general they tend to settle down as time goes on, though.  If the pain is persistent & worsening or not getting any better then you need to have someone check you out.  Start with your GP & they can always refer you on to a new Plastic Surgeon to check everything out.  I hope it settles down soon.  Kind regards
