I have close set eyes and want to make them appear wider apart. What rhinoplasty would help? Would lowering the nose bridge help?
Answer: Rhinoplasty and facial balancing by narrowing and lightly lowering the nasal bridge a rhinoplasty helps to create the illusion that the eyes are set further apart. This does require breaking of the nasal bones

Answer: I don't believe rhinoplasty surgery affects the position of somebody's eyes. The only rationale for requesting rhinoplasty surgery is severe dissatisfaction with the appearance of your nose, or severe nasal obstruction that is affecting your quality of life. Or a more definitive answer, please consider re-asking a question with photographs. Thank you for this. Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Answer: Rhinoplasty Hello and thank you for your question. It really depends on your anatomy, but lowering the height of the dorsum may help. With good surgical technique, you could likely have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. Harvard-trained plastic surgeon

Answer: Facial appearance The position of your eyeballs is based on facial skeletal structure. There’s no simple procedure to make your eyes further apart. Consider including pictures if you want an assessment. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
