Is oily skin after rhinoplasty normal & how long before the skin gets back to how it was before?

As far as I can understand from your question yes, it is quite normal, depending on the skin structure, lubrication can remain for 1 or 1.5 years, you need to pay attention to skin care and cleansing.

Sometimes there can be an increase of oily skin after rhinoplasty surgery. I believe this is from the nasal tape blocking the oil glands on the nose. When your nose is not sensitive, please consider meeting with a reputable esthetician to have a facial and to have these oil glands cleaned out. Hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Most changes in skin characteristics will improve in 3 to 6 months.
Some may continue for up to a year.
