When patients ask "how long after having a baby can i get a mommy makeover. Breast augmentation & tummy tuck?" I typically respond: In general, I recommend waiting at least 6 months after giving birth before considering a mommy makeover, which can include breast augmentation and a tummy tuck. This gives your body time to recover from pregnancy and childbirth, and for things like hormone levels, weight, and breastfeeding to stabilize. If you’re breastfeeding, I usually advise waiting 3–6 months after you've stopped to allow your breast tissue to settle so we can accurately plan the augmentation. For the tummy tuck, it’s important that you're at or near your goal weight, not planning to have more children, and have completed postpartum core recovery as much as possible. That said, every woman’s recovery is different. I’d be happy to evaluate you during a consultation and tailor the timeline based on your personal healing, goals, and lifestyle.
