Am I a candidate for chin liposuction? (Photos)

Correction of a double chin can be achieved either though a surgical or non-invasive approaches. Liposuction and Jplazty (cold plasma energy to tighten skin) of the chin and neck produces consistently good results for appropriate candidates. I think you would be an excellent candidate for this procedure. There are  several non-invasive techniques for correction of a double chin. Ultherapy of the lower face and  submental neck can provide both skin tightening and fat reduction for more definition.  We also offer the Cool mini as a non-surgical alternative to liposuction for the right candidate. Generally, two treatments are required separated by 4-6 weeks.  We also offer Kybella which is another non-surgical alternative to liposuction. Neck liposuction is a great option for patients with good skin elasticity and excess fat in the neck and around the jawline. Liposuction is effective at removing this excess fat and stimulating the skin to contract over time to create improved angulation and definition along the jawline. I recommend seeing an expert for a consultation. I hope this helps!

Very good pictures showing a big difference between chin extension and flexion. You seem to have a combination of week chin that could benefit from augmentation and excess fat under your chin. An examination is a must, because if the fat is under the skin, liposuction could take care of it. In many cases the examination reveals that the fat is under the platysma muscle in which cas it has to be removed by a open technique that requires an incision under the chin. If this needs to be done a chin implant can be placed through the same incision. A careful examination can give you the right answer.

Thank you for your photo. Chin liposuction could help slim your jawline. Some non-surgical options included Kybella injections and SculpSure for the chin fat.  The photograph demonstrates significant fatty deposits in the neck located both above and below the platysma muscle in the neck. There's also weak and recessive chin profile present which makes the soft tissues sag more in the neck. Consider placement of a small chin implant augment it forward to give better structural support to the soft tissues in the neck.  A neck lift is required to surgically remove the fatty deposits above and below the platysma muscle in addition to a platysma plasty.  Hi, I have performed many facial shaping procedures, including Chin Augmentation with dermal fillers or silastic chin implants, for over 30 years.  From the photos, the chin is weak, there is some excess fat and skin below the chin/neck/lower face and I suspect that there are "jowls" in the lower face as well.   When the chin is weak, this creates an imbalance making the nose appear larger, the mid face top heavy, the lower face looks short, de-emphasizes the lips and allows early formation of a "double chin".  
 Proper placement of a silastic chin implant adds forward projection to the chin thereby creating harmony and balance to the lower face.  Using the same incision, liposuction can be performed to reduce the fat and further shape the neck.  Excess skin, from below the chin, can also be removed through the same incision.  
 I have found that placement of a silastic chin implant, through a small curved incision under the chin (also allows excess skin removal) to be very safe, quick, highly effective and far less invasive than a sliding genioplasty (requires extensive tissue dissection, bone cuts and placement of metal screws and plates to secure the cut segments of bone).  I perform chin implant surgery in 30 minutes or less, often using a local anesthetic alone.  In my opinion, you are a good candidate for chin implant surgery combined with liposuction and removal of some excess skin from under the neck.  This would give you more definition in the chin and jaw line areas.
  If more definition in the lower face is desired however, some type of face and neck lift would likely be required.  A non smiling photos of your face from the front would help in the evaluation but in these photos some excess fat can be seen in the lid face along with evidence of "jowls". I have performed many SMAS facelifts for over 30 years and have performed many minimally, invasive SMAS facelifts.  
 If you have "jowls” these are sagging facial tissues and the main indication for some form of a SMAS facelift.  The underlying SMAS layer, of the face, must be dissected, lifted, trimmed and re-sutured (not merely folded or suspended with threads or sutures that will not last).  The excess skin is then removed and the facelift incisions closed.
 My most popular SMAS facelift is the minimally invasive, short incision SMAS facelift that has all the benefits of more invasive facelifts (traditional, mid-face, deep plane, cheek lift and subperiosteal facelifts) but with these added benefits:
very small incisions and no incisions extend or are placed within the hair.
minimal tissue dissection = less bruising and swelling = rapid recovery ( several days instead of weeks or months with the more invasive type facelifts mentioned)
can be performed in 90 minutes or less, with or without general anesthesia
no incisions within the hair = no hair loss
excess fat can be removed from the face and neck
excess skin removed from the face and neck
cheeks, chin and jaw line can be augmented with dermal fillers (I prefer Restylane Lyft) or facial implants
most patients fly back home to parts all over the world in as little as 3 days post-op
I combine facial shaping with every facelift procedure.  When jowls are present, these should be done in concert and not alone or separately in order to create a naturally, more attractive face. Following my beauty principles, women look the most feminine, youthful and attractive with heart shaped faces.  Heart shaped faces have cheeks that are full and round in the front.  Cheek augmentation with a dermal filler or using cheek implants for a permanent enhancement will create full, round cheeks that will feminize the entire face. Along with the minimally, invasive SMAS facelift described above, some of the excess skin below the chin can be removed using a small, curved incision under the chin.  This along with skin removed in front and behind the ear will tend to reduce the skin excess by around 70% or more.
 If anterior platysmal bands are present or the maximal amount of neck skin is to be removed, a "formal" neck lift can be done.  In this procedure, the face and neck tissues are elevated using a curved incision around the front (explained later) of the ear that continues in the crease behind the ear and then 3 inches into the posterior hairline.  The tissue is dissected from that point all the way across the entire neck to the same position on the other side of the head in a dissection that is as long vertically as the entire neck.  The Platysma muscles are tightened using a curved incision under the chin and each side is pulled upward and back again being tightened at a line behind each ear (under the tissues).  Since the skin flap pull is up and back, this will pick up any tissue laxity along the jaw line or "jowls" which must be dissected and flattened out using a lower facelift (incision around the front of the ears).  If this isn't done, pleats of excess skin will appear below each ear.  This is an extensive surgery taking 4 1/2 to 5 hours with large incisions, possible hair loss and months of recovery.Hope this helps.
