Extra skin left after upper blepharoplasty, can this be corrected? (Photos)

You must be patient.  Your eyelid is still quite swollen,  and I wonder if you might be having a reaction to a topical medication.  It will improve, but the key here is patience. To try and modify your procedure at this point would be the wrong approach.  If indeed in 6 months there needs to be a modification, it can usually be performed readily in an office setting.  

I'm not certain that is extra skin. You are only 5 weeks out and you still have some swelling. Let your surgeon examine you. The eyelid will continue to look better for at least another month. While there appears to be some excess skin, you are also still red and swollen. So you need to wait as this will change over the next few weeks.  Usually with the eyes open any excess skin is less visible.  

Although you may have extra skin, it may just be swelling, and you have to let things settle down first. I would give it 6 months or so.

It is still very early to predict final results.I understand your frustration, but I would suggest patience. Any touch up done now would increase the risk of unsightly scar formation. standard to re-evaluate a   if it is done during the chronic healing phase.  Six months is standard for a situation such as this.From your photo, it appears that the wound is still healing as well. I would conut your surgeon for options. Using vaseline on the wound may help it to heal better as well.

Way too early to predict a final result.  Be patient!  Speak with your surgeon and give it at least 6 months before considering additional touch up procedures.

MUST allow healing time of 3 to 6 months before doing revision of upper lids. This allows the skin to soften and mature.

After only five weeks from blepharoplasty surgery, it is hard to predict what your final outcome will be, especially because you are stll swollen.  I usually give my patients at least three months to recover, before diciding if a touch up is needed.  On a positive note, it is better to have a little excess skin than not have enough skin after blepharoplasty!  Excess skin can be taken out under local anesthesia in the office.  Continue to follow up with your surgeon to determine what and when anything needs to be done.
