I previously had a BA surgery and had 320/350cc moderate saline implants however i had a capsule on my left side so 5yrs later I ended up getting a revision and now have 345/385cc. My nurse recommended the size as when switching from moderate to high the diameter is a bit different but now I feel like my 385cc is noticeably larger and sits a bit lower than the 345cc. Would 30cc to 40cc between my left and right make a difference? I might just be paranoid from my previous experience
Answer: Size Usually, 10 cc's is not much of a noticeable difference. However, if 5 years time, breast sizes can change and not always symmetrically.

Answer: Implant Size is Highly Dependent on your Anatomy. Thank you for your question and pictures! First and foremost, your breast revision looks great! We as humans are asymmetrical by nature, therefore at times surgeons choose different sizes. While surgeons try their best to make everything as symmetrical as possible, it just is not feasible. They look great and I think they are as identical as they can be. A revision surgery is not necessary. I would recommend that you see a board-certified plastic surgeon who is a member of both ASPS & ASAPS and has plenty of experience in breast augmentation & lifting surgery. Go over your concerns with them and make sure above all, you walk out of there with several options and an idea of the pros and cons to each of them as well as realistic expectations. I hope this helps and wish you all the best in your surgery and event. If it does, please take a moment to up vote this answer on the “respond” button on the top right.

Answer: Implant size Dear LoTay11, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals. Answer: Breast results First, you have very nice breast revision results. Breasts are sisters, not twins. While a 40cc difference is noticeable, it is usually done due to differences seen in the operating room during your surgery. Post capsulectomy for a capsular contracture, the breast pocket gets both larger and looser. This sometimes causes the one breast to either drop lower or have a different shape postoperatively. Answer: Breast augmentation results Dear LoTay11, Let's start with "Your breasts look great!" Especially in the face of having had a capsular contracture severely enough to require revision. When a contracture has been surgically addressed on you can usually expect a little more laxity (if you will) on that side. Also, it has basically predetermined that there is a 30cc, or so, difference in your breast volumes by your initial breast augmentation. So, yes 30-40cc can make a visible difference, but that's what you needed based on your prior surgery. Finally, we have no idea how long ago your revision breast augmentation was. If it was recent, there will be further settling and new capsule formations that have yet to occur that may further impact your final result. Good luck!
