This would be extremely rare to have much bleeding after a BBL. It is not really bleeding you are experiencing but tumescent fluid draining.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
Hi. After a BBL there is no bleeding. You bleed when the cannula is aspirating fat, since some blood comes with it. But there is no bleeding after the procedure.International Member of the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (ASPS)Member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS)Member of the International Confederation of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (IPRAS)
Hi and Thanks for the question. Bleeding can vary from patient to patient as well as what type of actual procedure (eg, fat transfer vs. implants) is performed. In my practice, I perform liposuction from areas of fat excess and then transfer the fat to the buttocks to improve shape and contour but also increase buttock size and volume. With this procedure, there is very little bleeding as we pre-inject all of the liposuction areas with a tumescent solution which contains epinephrine that decreases bleeding. Best of Luck!
You will require a cardiology clearance prior to your BBL and your cardiologist will make some definitive recommendations; I would also recommend that you keep your total liposuction (infiltration and aspiration) volumes to less than 4 L to keep it safe.

Follow your PS's post-operative protocols; sit with a pillow that offloads the pressure onto the posterior thighs. Driving is much worst than sitting as pushing on the accelerator or brake involves pushing back against the buttocks and lower back.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic Sur...
About 60% of fat from the transfer is retained and the results are permanent. The size will change with your weight just as the rest of your body does. In other words, the fat acts like it was naturally there. You can get a good idea of the final result after 6 months.
Male and female body structures are different this is why for females wider hips are preferred and for males a straighter look is ideal. When having a BBL it is important to have this in mind while molding the waist / hip / gluteal area to prevent a male to en up looking like a female. Regarding...
I would need to see more photos to see if you were a good candidate for a BBL. BMI itself can not predict if someone is a good candidate. It really comes down to if you have areas with enough fat we can remove and transfer to get you a result that would satisfy you. I have done...
