I am going in for a MM and my PC suggested i get 275cc for me cohesive impalnts, I am 5' 2" and currently weight 150lb, and wear size 34c. I am getting lift as well. I was wondering if 275cc may be too big for me. I have always naturally been 34A or B and after three kids and nursing them each for 18months, my boobs are Saggy. Any input is appreciated. My PS was not even in the room when i was trying on the sizers
Answer: Should I go with 275cc OR 250CC size implants? Its not possible to make an accurate assessment without your photos. You have chosen your surgeon for a reason. Trust needs to key. Insist on meeting with him/her to discuss the sizes. Good luck

Answer: When in doubt go with the larger size implants Most women a year after breast augmentation wish they gone a bit bigger. If you are wrestling between two sizes I would yield to the one that is slightly larger.

Answer: Maybe reconsider size. The picture would be helpful of your current breasts. A 250 and a 275 mL implant really adds little volume to a woman's breasts. In my experience here in Georgia most women would not want that size because it would not meet their expectations of large full appropriate size breasts. It really all depends your desired outcome.

Answer: Should I go with 275cc OR 250CC size implants? You may not actually be able to tell any significant difference between the 2 sizes. The best cosmetic result in any particular breast augmentation patient depends on a variety of factors, including: your individual anatomy, desired outcome, realistic expectations, a thorough discussion with the plastic surgeon about the options, and an understanding of the pros and cons of any particular implant choice. Proper sizing is not just about the number of cc’s. The thickness of your tissue, breast dimensions which include the width, height, and projection, as well as chest wall width all need to be considered when choosing an implant. Trying on implant “sizers” of various shapes and volumes while wearing a tight t-shirt, bra, or bathing sit at a preoperative visit will help you and your surgeon choose the optimal implant. Keep in mind that following the advice from a surgeon on this or any other website who proposes to tell you what to do based on limited 2 dimensional photos without examining you, physically feeling the tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history, and discussing the pros and cons of each operative procedure would not be in your best interest. I would suggest that your plastic surgeon be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and ideally a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) that you trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person. Robert Singer, MD FACS La Jolla, California
