I started walking slowly on the treadmill at 9 weeks. Then at 10 weeks I moved to stretching, crunches and light push-ups. Last week I started getting a sharp pain in my lower right side. To the point I took a pain killer to relieve the pain. I stopped all exercise immediately. I waited an entire week before walking again. Tonight I walked on the treadmill for 30 mins and the pain has returned. Do I need to call my PS or just give it some more time? Thanks for any suggestions. Deb
Answer: Pain after tummy tuck If you are still having pain severe enough to require pain medication at this stage, call your surgeon's office to have them evaluate it. Patients may still feel sharp pains as nerves begin to regenerate for months after surgery. But it should continuously get better with time. Good luck with your recovery.

CONTACT NOW Answer: Tummy tuck and exercise In my own practice I usually like to see about one are two weeks of a flat abdomen with no fluid collections before I allow my patients to exercise or liberalize their activity. This can vary from anywhere between 3 to 6 weeks in most cases. Be sure to check in ask plastic surgeon his or her preferences.

Answer: Pain 11 weeks after tummy tuck please see a plastic surgeon Thank you for your question. I agree with others that it sounds as though you are doing too much and 11 weeks is probably too early for you to be doing abdominal crunches. However you need to be examined formally by a plastic surgeon to assess the cause of your pain.

Answer: Pain with exercise after tummy tuck I would refer all questions to your plastic surgeon regarding pain following exercise. In my opinion, there is probably nothing serious that you need to worry about but it is always best to let your own plastic surgeon know if you are experiencing problems.Best of luck
