I encourage my patients to look at photos with critic eyes. Evaluate On the postop: specially curvy and tapered waist, very low incisions, nice and feminine belly button, nice, neat and straight incision and flat abdomen. I would complete evaluation: a nice whole body contouring: curvy lower back, no back rolls and great butt be encouraged!!!dr. Cardenas
I think the best way to determine this is to look at before and after photo galleries and reviews.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA
The best way to evaluate the results is to see lots of pictures of your surgeons actual patients. Discuss with your surgeon what you can expect based on the shape you have now. Look for scars that are kept low and heal as a thin fine line. Be aware that Tummy Tucks are not done the same by each surgeon. Some include Liposuction of the hips and waistline to give you that feminine curve all the way around. Only you can judge which results will best meet your expectations.
The answer is always "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". By this I mean that a good or bad result is very individualized and depends on your starting point and anatomy and your goals. My ideal for any cosmetic procedure is a 'natural' and rejuvenated look without the overdone or 'operated' appearance. The scar should be as low as possible to hide under panties or a bikini, soft transitions on the sides and a gentle inwardly sloping belly button with flat contours of the muscles.I would suggest that you seek consultation with a plastic surgeon with extensive experience in body contouring with whom you feel comfortable and whose before and after photos are pleasing to you. Good luck.
I think you need to see alot of pre and post op photos and then the answer to your question will be self explanatory. Make sure the surgeon or surgeons you see have lots of photos to show you.Dr. Corbin
ONLY more healing time will tell, like 4 months more. The "pleating" is to match uneven distances of the upper vs lower incisions.
Hello, thank you for your question and the pics. You are definitely a tummy tuck candidate, and as you well put it, only a tummy tuck will get you your abdomen back. First off no mesh is required for a tummy tuck, and the umbilical hernia seen protruding in the pictures will be repaired as well...
I am surprised that you prevented a doctor's nurse from doing what they do in their practice, the same practice you chose to do your surgery, and let the internet tell you what to do. Aren't you a little surprised at this too??
