Very swollen lips after 0.8 ml of Restylane- will this be my end result? (Photo)

Question

I got injected 0.8 ml of Restylane Kyss. This was my third injection (all around the same amount of filler) over the course of roughly a year. The first picture shows my lips right after the injection, I was very happy with the result. This morning I woke up with stiff, overly swollen fake looking lips (pic. 2). I am scared that this will be my final result. Is there any likelihood that this will be the case or will my lips go back to how they looked after the injection? Thanks in advance!

Swelling is not uncommon after lip fillers and can take up to two weeks to completely resolve.  Until that time cool compresses may help.  If you develop worsening symptoms contact your injector for an evaluation.

This is very common post lip augmentation treatment. Swelling is always the worst typically 24-48 hours after treatment. Make sure to ice the area to help with swelling. The stiffness and swelling should completely be gone within a couple of weeks.

Hello there! This is very typical of lip filler. You are swollen and healing and will continue to do so for up to four weeks. I would recommend icing, elevating the head when sleeping, avoiding exercise, and taking anti-histamines as needed. Thankyou for your question.Your lips are swollen and this is normal. they will go down so please don't stress. Most of the swelling will settle over the next few days and then it will cont to settle for up to 2 weeks.suggest you ice the lips on and of for the next 2 days.Hope this helps

Hi thank you for your question.  It can take up to 2 weeks for swelling and bruising to completely resolve.  If it had only been 20 hours after the injection, as noted in your picture, then it is very likely that most of what you are seeing is swelling.  
I recommend a consultation with your injector 2 weeks after your injection date.  If you are still unhappy with your lips you can discuss the best treatment plan.  Hyaluronidase may be used to dissolve any unwanted product.

From your note you did not mention what time period had passed since your injections. If it has been less than 10 days, i would just let it settle in If you still have concerns after 10-14 days, i would recommend that you revisit your injector for them to evaluate your lips further.
