This patient is a female who initially requested a breast lift with implants. However, due to the degree of ptosis, a two-stage procedure was recommended. She is now 3 months post-operative following a bilateral reduction mammoplasty and is very pleased with her results.

This patient is a 50-year-old female who presented to my office with complaints of breast size larger than desired which caused back, neck, and shoulder pain and discomfort with her arms. I felt a bilateral breast reduction would give the patient significant improvement in her back, neck and shoulder symptoms. During surgery I performed an anchor scar lift and removed 576 grams of tissue from the left and 531 grams from the right. This patient recovered well and was thrilled with the improvements in her appearance and physical symptoms.

	Breast Reduction is done under general anesthesia in our Miami facility. Incisions are made around the pigmented area (the nipple areolar complex) and extend vertically below the nipple and in the fold under the breast. The nipple areolar complex is moved upward to the desired location, while excess breast tissue, skin, and fat are removed.


Patient is 5'5 , 160 pounds and consulted with Dr. Schaffer about improving the appearance of her breasts. Breast Reduction surgery was recommended to reduce the size and weight of the breasts.

This patient underwent a breast reduction to improve her back and neck pain which was caused by her heavy breasts. During the procedure a breast lift was also done to improve the aesthetics of the breasts.

This 39 year-old female was diagnosed with left sided breast cancer. Because of her high risk of developing breast cancer on the opposite side, she opted for bilateral mastectomies. The removal of the breast tissue was performed through an incision on the bottom of the breast (i.e. the inframammary fold). In order to prevent the animation deformity that is sometimes seen in submuscular breast reconstruction, the MENTOR ARTOURA Breast Tissue Expanders were placed in the prepectoral position and covered with Alloderm. Several months later, the expanders were replaced with the most advanced, new MemoryGel XTRA silicone implants. A small amount of fat transfer to help contour the upper portion of the breast was performed as a minor procedure several months later. Postoperative result at 1 year shows excellent symmetry and shape, preservation of the nipple tissue, all designed to the patients desire to also increase breast volume.

This patient is 5 days post-breast reduction surgery, with 1217 grams removed from the right breast and 1019 grams removed from the left breast.
