This lovely woman presented to our Center with concerns of heavy upper eyelids. She stated that she wanted to better see the permanent eyeliner that she had recently applied. She was also requesting that the asymmetry (a.k.a. unevenness) she had be addressed to make her droopier right eye better match her left side. In the comfort of our Center we safely performed an upper eyelid blepharoplasty under local anesthesia and mild oral sedation with valium. We removed slightly more skin on her right side to help make her eyes appear more even afterwards. Her recovery time was under one week, and sutures were removed on day #5.

This woman of Mediterranean descent presented with the complaint of heaviness over her eyelids. She stated that she was having difficulty applying eyeliner, eye shadow, and mascara. Evaluation demonstrated significant excess of thin upper eyelid skin, along with adequately positioned eyebrows. We agreed to perform an upper eyelid lift (blepharoplasty) under local anesthesia and mild oral sedation in our Center. Her results demonstrate significant improvement in her eyelid show and heaviness. She stated that make-up application is much easier due to the decrease in excess tissue above her lids. The sutures were removed after 6 days and she returned to work the next day.

	Lifting the lateral canthus can be done many ways. This time we created a sling of lower eyelid ligament and attached it right to the orbital bone. This sort of repair is pretty major, but not doing it will lead to droopiness down the road. This way, she will have a great result that lasts.
