Ive had MRSA twice in the past, and Im concerned about the red bumps forming around where a mole was removed last wk. Ive been cleaning daily, applying Aquaphor, and covering with a bandage. Now today there are red pimple like bumps around the wound. My drs office said keep an eye on it, apply hydrocortisone to the bumps and call them on Monday if it gets worse (today is Thursday). Im still worried though since Im, evidently, prone to having MRSA infections.
Hey! So Im 18 years old and recently I had a mole removed and it came back as a benign Meyerson Nevus. It was removed as a punch removal. Ive had the wound covered up for pretty much the last 2 weeks and today when I was changing the bandage I have over it and applying detol, I noticed that it appears the mole is growing back (greattttt) Basically my question is should I be concerned about this? Im going back to the dermatologist in 3 months anyways.. so should I just wait? Thanks :)
The doc just told me to keep a bandage on it for a couple day but today after I showered I bent over and it cracked open and started bleeding.. it stopped on its own but now should I put vaseline or Neosporin on it as well? Thank you
I got my mole removed a week ago and have been washing it everyday and covered it with band aids so it wouldnt get irritated. My doctor said to put rubbing alcohol on it which I have done a couple times. Its red from the bandaids but want to make sure its healing okay.
I recently had a severe atypical mole and had surgical exercision on my foot. Im happy with the removal but its been a few days and it seems very red to me. Im concerned its Infected. Im actually on antibiotics and have diligently cleaned my wound 2-3x a day with hydrogen peroxide and water and polysporin then covered with a clean bandage. Ive done everything to keep it from getting Infected. It is not oozing green pus thankfully its more the redness that concerns me. Thank you for any advice.
I dont know if the area is infected but it doesnt look normal to me, should i try applying paw paw ointment ? I only kept the bandaid on for 3 days is should I have kept it on longer ?
The mole which was lanced off on Tuesday (3 days ago) was sent off for a biopsy. I was told to keep it bandaged up and apply Vaseline or petroleum jelly which I have. Attached is a picture. It is on my right arm above my elbow. It is the size of a nickel. I want to know if it is okay to use Neosporin in place of the petroleum jelly today because it is getting sore and it appears there may be a little infection in it due to the yellowness and redness.
Mostly burning like sensations. Keeps me awake/wakes me up. I have not washed them yet as prescribed by the surgeon. They are bandaged. I have been using extra strength Tylenol to manage the pain but not much help. (3 per 4-6 hours)
So I just had a mole on my nose removed and it has a circle bandaid over it and I was told to keep it on for the rest of the day but I want to know if its ok to shower with that bandage on because I do not want to ruin the bandage.
