Dear rachelmarie583.  If you have had MRSA more than once, you could possibly be a carrier for MRSA and your suspicion should be high that you have it again if you have any red, pimple like skin lesions.  MRSA needs to be treated right away.  It is very contagious by contact.  It responds to oral antibiotics, usually cleocin is the drug of choice.  The only way to know for sure if this is MRSA is to have it cultured.  If you are not getting the assistance that you need from your current provider, please seek another opinion.  Make sure that you are very clear with the physicians office exactly why your are calling and how concerned you are.  If you are unable to get in to another physician, you could always present to your nearest emergency room.In addition, if you are noticing any foul discharge, spreading redness or swelling, it could be a sign of worsening infection.
