I got my mole removed a week ago and have been washing it everyday and covered it with band aids so it wouldn’t get irritated. My doctor said to put rubbing alcohol on it which I have done a couple times. It’s red from the bandaids but want to make sure it’s healing okay.

There do not appear to be any issues with the healing at this point, as there are no signs of infection. It it hard to say depending on what technique was used and whether any stitches were placed at the time of excision. I would not use rubbing alcohol on it however, as this can damage the healing skin and dry out the wound. Wash it daily with soapy water, apply a small amount of clean vaseline and cover with a bandaid, that will help to keep it clean and allow for the best healing
