I got my mole removed a week ago and have been washing it everyday and covered it with band aids so it wouldn’t get irritated. My doctor said to put rubbing alcohol on it which I have done a couple times. It’s red from the bandaids but want to make sure it’s healing okay.

Thanks for the question. The stitches look fine. Skin very commonly looks bunched like that after suturing. You can be sure that after the stitches are removed it the skin will flatten out over a few weeks.
Thank you for your question.I would recommend that you have the mole surgically excised and examined by a pathologist to be sure that there is nothing there that you should be concerned about. With surgical excision, the mole is removed down to the root which lessens the risk for recurrence. ...
I recommend following up with your cosmetic dermatologist about your concerns and after care recommendations. I recommend Silagen + Bioshield to promote healing. Any scarring can be improved with lasers and microneedling/prp. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
