I have keloids on my chest only from acne. Never got keloids anywhere else despite those big acne boils popping up on my face and shoulders occasionally. I want to treat my acne scarring and hyperpigmentation on my face through microneedling but I'm scared the micro-trauma will cause keloids. Just wanted to find out if the micro pokes are enough to cause keloids due to excess collagen production? Thank you.
I have 2 kelaoid at my back and then i got small near my ear when i got piercing, these all happen like 7-8 year back But then i got 2 more piercing my upper earlobe and nose , they turn out fine with just extra care. I am thinking of getting microneedle and PRP for improving skin texture and my dark circles ofcourse. I need advise if i could get these treatments having this kelaoid thing. I am getting married in this coming December and don't want to risk.
About a year ago, I got a cut below my lip . I ended up getting dissolvable stitches which resulted in this scar. My current doctor says that its a keloid scar and ive received 4 steroid injections. But the scar didnt really shrink. Are there any alternative methods or lazers that can minimize this scar.
I am a middle Eastern female , 33 years old Never had any botox or needling to my face or any surgical procedure. I am suffering with keliods from childhood Even the normal vaccination what all babies got turned to keliods for me on the both shoulders . I was wondering can I use a derma roller 0.5cm on my face or should I be scared of developing keliods on my face . I don't have any scars or pimples Just uneven tone and dull skin .
Im Asian and have not had any surgery so far so Im not very sure if my scarring is genetic. I do have a few fresh piercings which have a bump too but because I did not take particular care of this one and assumed it would go down on its own, its quite bad. Ive has the bump for close to 2 years now and nothing else has helped (regular cleaning with saline solution, tea tree oil). I still wear the piercing and would like to keep it.
I had Microneedling done with AnteAge stem, GF and Cytokines. I am a keloid scarer which I disclosed to my the gal that did my Microneedling. She said she wasnt going deep enough to scar. She commented that she could Microneedle me forever because my skin didnt turn pink as quickly as others. Fine by the next day. However two weeks after I have burning around my nose and red lines around my mouth that feels like my skin is tearing. Now 5 weeks and still on/off burning. Help!!!
I had liposuction and one of the drainage scars on my side turned into a keloid. I had a steroid shot and it is flat now for a few years but its a hideous large scar. I was wondering if I could do microneedling to fix this like you could to a normal scar or if it could re aggravate the growth of an inactive keloid.
Can microneedling re raise keloid scars that were once flat ??? I have been trying to treat a 7 year old small keloid scar on my chest . I had steroid injections to help flatten the scar, which led to skin atrophy & thinning of the skin.I was recommended dermapen to help stimulate collagen back & noticed the dent had gone but my keloid scar was back to looking raised once again .
