Microneedling can help break down scar tissue, promote collagen growth, and rejuvenates the cells. Microneedling is low risk and has minimal downtime! I believe microneedling would be a great option for you.

Don't give up. Make sure that you are consulting an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist with experience in scar treatments, since it not uncommonly requires multiple treatment sessions using varying concentrations and amounts of the intralesional steroid to be effective, and sometimes even the addition of 5-FU, in order to shrink it. And sometimes, it may also need to shaved down first and the base injected as above. So, make sure you are seeing a specialist. Best of luck.
