I got a breast augmentation 10.5 months ago with a crease incision and my scars have been healing slowly, on the inside they're the same color as my skin but the ridges are still red and angry. Would microdermabrasion be a good option to speed up the fading process? Am I far enough post op? Thanks!
I have mostly olive/fair skin, but have large areas of deep almost black pigmentation (debilitating). Dermatologist said it's Acanathosis Nigricans, but Blood Tests detect no metabolic syndromes. Anyways, tried HQ 2% by Vivier, Differin Adapalene, Vitamin C and Azelaic Acid 10%. It worked on the PIH and Acne but not on the deep pigmentation, any lasers, surgery, peels or treatments that are effective? (Advised to not get CO2) I don't mind expense treatments, as long as effective. (No obagi pls)
Is the procedure safe for the nose area, I had nasal silicone implant. Does it need to be avoided altogether, or perhaps just the bridge area? A doctor suggested I should avoid the area giving theory that the implant might protrude in the future. My surgery was done over 2 years ago.
Hello! Im 35 and I believe to have developed melasma damaged skin sun spots on my cheeks and upper lip where I had a breakout. It looks like dirt on my face thats I can barely cover up with makes up. Ive been using a few over the counter facial products to regenerate new skin however its a slow process and very embarrassing to have these. I also have developed really darn bruised looking skin around my eyes. Is that because I lightly rub them in the morning? My complexing has tanked horribly
Online sources recommend to apply sunscreen for 1 to 2 weeks after microdermabrasion if exposed to the sun. When I asked my esthetician she said sunscreen should be applied for one month after the procedure. I am considering doing microdermabrasion but I am confused with so many different opinions regarding the sun protection. What is the optimal length of time for mandatory sunscreen application after microdermabrasion?
I have suffered from the appearance of dark lines/rings around my neck since my teens, with no underlying identifiable health causes. As such, I am now beyond ready to get rid of them, along with slight discolorations on my face. What would be the best treatment option; microdermabrasion, chemical peel or laser? Thanks!
I am 20 and have a fine line across my forehead. I was thinking of using collagen wave therapy to treat it but was told the fine line is caused by the muscle and not skin elasticity at my age and the treatment would be ineffective. I was recommended microdermabrasion instead. Is this really that effective in reducing fine lines? Would 3 treatments be enough or is around 6 better? How can this treatment provide lasting results? Why is this effective for fine lines but collagen wave therapy not?
