Is microdermabrasion or dermaplaning safe during pregnancy? Is it best to wait until post-pregnancy and post-covid?

Thank you for you question. Of course, always speak to and listen to the advice of your physician. Microdermabrasion and dermaplane are both considered mechanical exfoliation treatments. No chemicals are used. Typically, it is safe to receive either of these treatments during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

no studies have been performed on pregnant women, so it is recommended to avoid any treatments.  however,  I let my patietns decide and sign waivers if they want treatmetns during pregnancy.
