How effective is microdermabrasion for fine lines across the forehead? (Photo)

I am 20 and have a fine line across my forehead. I was thinking of using collagen wave therapy to treat it but was told the fine line is caused by the muscle and not skin elasticity at my age and the treatment would be ineffective. I was recommended microdermabrasion instead. Is this really that effective in reducing fine lines? Would 3 treatments be enough or is around 6 better? How can this treatment provide lasting results? Why is this effective for fine lines but collagen wave therapy not?

I would suggest a combination of a retinoid such as Replenish CX followed by some light chemical peels to help the collagen in the eyelids. Botox and fillers may also help. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
