I wouldn't even consider this if I didn't suffer from allergies & sinus issues nearly constantly, but aside from the common courtesy factor of it all, IF I am infact sick (I have no fever or anything just a sore throat), what would be the worst complications that could occur from getting lip fillers while under the weather? I'd cancel but generally I don't know if I'm actually sick or if it's my chronic allergies until I develop more symptoms or get a fever
So I had 1 syringe of under eye filler done in 2021. I got .5 ml on each side. Im currently sick with possibly the flu or some sort of respiratory illness. My left tear trough has swelled up like I had just got my filler done. I seriously thought the filler was gone because my under eyes look how they did before I got it done. My right eye has no swelling at all. Should I be concerned?!?
It has been over a year and a half since my last injections with Juvederm. As soon as I got the injections done about a few weeks later I became extremely ill. I ended up in the ER because my lips and tear troughs swelled so bad. Shortly after anything or any infection, UTI, Sinuses, any sort of illness my fillers swell. October of 2018 it happened again. I got the flu and boom, this time the swelling was even worse than it was in 2017, my lips split and bled.
I got Juvederm in my lips last week.My lips do feel weird like there is something foreign in them...is that normal? fA few hours after the lip injections I started to feel stomach pain/nausea & felt as though I had mild food poisoning which lasted a day. Now I feel like I have the flu.but it comes & goes.My arms feel weak and my upper back hurts and I sometimes feel weak/feverish and last night I had terrible night sweats where I woke up completely drenched in sweat. I just don't feel good.
I got lip injection Juvederm after, on the second day I had a feeling of panic attacks. I had flu symptoms (fever 103, body aches, migraine, and vomiting).I went to the E.R. as I was not getting better and was very dehydrated and was miserable. Months later I went back and explained what had happen and I was assured that fillers what not cause that reaction, but she used Restylane this time for my lip fillers.SAME THING.
Today I am scheduled to get Juvederm Ultra in my lips. I felt a sore throat coming on yesterday and this morning I am coughing and hacking stuff up left and right. Am I still safe to get filler today ?
Hello, I'm in Cape Town and am nearing the end of my stay. I've been very interested in trying out lip fillers and was recommended a great surgeon here - he said it would be a 10 minute procedure and it's 500$ less to try it out while I'm overseas. However, I've been a little sick with a sinus infection. My timeline is dwindling and I have only a few days to make my appointment; are there significant risks to getting this kind of injection while still recovering from an illness?
I had juviderm injected into my chin almost 5 months ago, Everything was fine until this morning when I woke up with the sites where the juviderm is swollen and tender. I am sick with a cold which is mostly in my throats and was prescribed a zpack, which I started last night. I have also been taking Motrin to keep my fever down. Could the infection from my throats have moved into the injection site? Or is this some reaction to having a fever?
I got my lips injected with juvederm for the first time in November of 2014.Everything was great.I went back in April to use the rest of my syringe but there was hardly anything left so on May 29th I went back.Mid June I got sick 3 times (for 2 months) & couldn't fight it off like I normally do.Fast forward to October when I went in again for a touch up & now I'm sick for the 4th time in the course of two months.I'm very concerned and curious to know if the juvederm is harming my immune system.
